In 2019 a Kier-VolkerFitzpatrick joint venture commenced delivery of new infrastructure to ready RAF Lakenheath as the first permanent home in Europe of the US Air Force F-35 Fighter Jet. This included;

• Construction and renovation of a number of buildings and infrastructure projects at the Suffolk site

• Six-bay flight simulator

• Aircraft maintenance unit

• New hangars

• 42 aircraft parking aprons

• Local community engagement

• At least 40% of the supply chain procured within a 75 mile radius of the site

• Skills and Training Academy to provide training opportunities for local residents and ex armed forces personnel

The project's initial Contract Sum was circa £160 million.

CostPro were engaged to carry out commercial management services spanning almost the entirey of the duration of the project.
